All-Wood Blade

Killerspin Jet 200 features 5 layers of all-wood Shakehand style blade. This blade gives you better control and feeling over the ball. As a beginner, it’s essential to feel the ball. After a player has got the feeling, the next step is to move up to a blade that adds more power. In this respect, the Jet 200 is a very good buy to master on the control aspect. This blade has a flared (FL) handle that is comfortable to grip.

Jet Basic Rubber

The Killerspin’s Jet basic rubber has a sponge thickness of 1.8 mm. The speed that a racket offers, varies proportionately with the sponge thickness, whereas control is inversely proportional to the thickness of a sponge.

The sponge thickness of the Killerspin Jet 200 is in the lower range which always helps to get control over your strokes. This rubber does not give you the edge to generate more speed to destroy your opponent. This ultimately helps beginners to learn techniques by giving their own effort to create speed on strokes.

For recreational players, this eye-catching paddle helps them to place the ball on the opponent’s side on more occasions. The longer rallies bring more delight in the game of ping pong which is beneficial to keep them physically and mentally fit.

The downside of the racket is that you can’t use this racket for tournaments. It violates the rule of ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) for not being red color on one side and black on the other. However, a new rule to use 4 colors of a rubber i.e. blue, green, pink, and purple in addition to red on one side of the blade will be implemented in October 2021.

Comes with a Nice Storage Case

The Killerspin Jet 200 comes with a storage case for use as a memory book. You may use this case to protect the rubber for a longer life of the racket.

Killerspin Jet 200 Color Options

You have the option to choose any of the three attractive colors, i.e. Navy blue, Lime, and Mocha. There is a slight difference in price tag between the variants of Jet 200. The Mocha color model costs the least followed by the Lime and Navy Blue color varient.

Price

Killerspin’s products are premium in nature and are always labeled with a higher price tag. But, this Jet 200 is an exception. You can buy this paddle from Amazon at a very attractive price of $28.69 (Mocha) which gives a good price-performance ratio.

Alternatives to Killerspin Jet 200

If you are a new aspirant in table tennis, you should consider ‘Palio Expert 3.0’ and ‘Eastfield Allround‘ before buying a Jet 200 paddle. Both are excellent rackets for beginners with very high command over control for the placement of a ball, which facilitates learning the basic skills in table tennis.
