All-Wood Blade

Killerspin Jet 200 features a 5-ply all-wood blade. It is a standard design for beginner’s paddle that is concentrated on control rather than speed. The flared (FL) handle looks nice and is comfortable to grip.

Jet Basic Rubber

The Killerspin’s Jet basic rubber has a sponge thickness of 1.8 mm. The motto to keep the sponge thickness in the lower range is to give more control over your strokes. It does not give you the edge to generate high speed to destroy your opponent. It is beneficial for beginners to learn techniques to generate speed on strokes by their own effort.

Comes with a Nice Storage Case

The racket comes with a storage case for use as a memory book. You may use this case to protect the rubber for a longer life.

Killerspin Jet 200 Color Options

You have the option to choose any of the three attractive colors, i.e. Navy blue, Lime, and Mocha. There is a slight difference in price tag between the variants of Jet 200. The Mocha color model costs the least followed by the Lime and Navy Blue color varient.

Performance

SpeedSpinControl
6/107/108.5/10

It’s a control-oriented racket. Speed is on the slower side. Spin is decent. Pushing and driving are easy to execute with this paddle. Topspin is ok but not recommended for loopers.

Jet 200 is good for recreational players to place the ball on the table on more occasions. The longer rallies bring more delight in the game of ping pong which is beneficial to keep them physically and mentally fit.

The downside is that you can’t use this racket for tournaments. It violates ITTF’s rule (International Table Tennis Federation) for not being the recommended colors.

Price

Killerspin’s products look premium and are always labeled with a higher price tag. But, this Jet 200 is an exception. You can buy this paddle from Amazon at an attractive price of $34.99 which gives a good price-performance ratio.

Positives

  • Great for recreational and office use
  • Good control
  • Good for beginners
  • Well-built and durable
  • 3 fascinating colors
  • Nice storage case

  • Not for offensive players
  • Suitable for casual players
  • Not recommended for tournaments

Alternatives to Killerspin Jet 200

If you are a new aspirant in table tennis, consider ‘Palio Expert 3.0’ and ‘Eastfield Allround‘. Both are excellent for beginners with good spin and high control, which facilitates mastering the 4 basic strokes.

The JOOLA Omega Control, an inexpensive paddle, is the best economical alternative for recreational players on a low budget.
